We provide crucial services to community members who are at risk of homelessness, at risk of foreclosure, and those who strive for the stability and benefits of homeownership. We focus on assisting those most in need, the goal being that every individual and family has a safe place to call home. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join us in making a real impact!

What You’ll Do:

• Empower Clients: Provide personalized, one-on-one housing counseling sessions to guide clients through home buying, renting, foreclosure prevention, and more.
• Educate and Inspire: Lead engaging workshops that help clients understand their housing options and make informed decisions.
• Create Action Plans: Work with clients to develop practical steps toward achieving their housing goals.
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep up with the latest housing market trends, policies, and best practices to offer top-notch advice.
• Collaborate: Partner with community organizations to connect clients with additional resources and support.
• Keep it Accurate: Maintain detailed and precise client records in line with federal guidelines.
• Welcome Everyone: Promote racial equity, inclusion, and community empowerment in all aspects of the work.

What We’re Looking For:

• Knowledgeable: Experience in a related field (housing/lending/credit/finance). Strong understanding of HUD regulations and housing programs is a plus.
• Skilled Communicator: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Organized: Exceptional organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Team Player: Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Bilingual: English/Spanish skills are a big plus!
• Certified Professional: Having a current HUD Housing Counseling Certification will give you a leg up.
• Flexible: Candidate must be willing to work occasional Saturdays and evenings and be able to travel for training required in order to earn Housing Counselor certification.
