The House Manager is responsible for management of day-to-day facility operations. Ensures adequate staffing at the facility at all times. Directly supervises the facility Residential Counselors, and provides feedback of their performance on a consistent basis.
Accountabilities: (Responsibilities of the job)
General Facility Management
Assist in crisis intervention by supporting program employees, answering crisis calls and contacting appropriate service and support team members.
Adhere to medication management protocol. Is constantly alerted to changes in medication orders. Conducts weekly medication audits.
Responsible for facility cleanliness. Ensures completion of daily cleaning checklist, and provides supervision of residential employees’ completion of daily cleaning
Responsible for health and sanitation at facility.
Monitor household/grounds for cleanliness and ensure safe environment. Submit work orders as needed.
Manage and supervise medication monitoring for all residents.
Conducts monthly fire drills. Monitors fire safety programs to include equipment inspections and fire drills.
Ensure individuals are receiving highest quality care.
Lead resident meetings as directed by supervisor.
Liaise with pharmacy, prescribers, physicians, neighbors, county and state officials.
Ensure adequate program supplies.
Collaborate with all individuals involved in treatment to include family members.
Coordinate shift schedule so as to ensure adequate staffing. Be available for after hour’s telephone calls, and emergency shift coverage when necessary.
Reviews and monitors medication protocol.
Staff Supervision
Monitor interactions with employees and peers for professional and ethical appropriateness.
Is responsible for facility staffing patterns and ensuring adequate shift coverage at all times.
Fields phone calls from staff after-hours in regards to medication questions, resident crises, etc.
Covers shifts on short notice as needed if adequate coverage is unavailable.
Supervises staff work performance. Provides corrective action as needed.
Completes annual staff evaluations.

Follow through on all directives and instructions.
Maintain security of all corporate interests (security of keys, files, and facilities).
Must have a criminal records clearance through the State Mental Health Division prior to starting employment.
Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance
Regular in-service training on issues relevant to residential care to total not less than 8 hours a year.
Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Education/Certificates/Licenses/Registration:
QMHA credentials strongly preferred.
Experience/Qualifications:
Previous experience in a supervisory role strongly preferred. Previous experience working in or managing a group home required.
