The Hotel Manager at Ute Mountain Casino Hotel is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel and RV park, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, service, and guest satisfaction. This role involves leading and motivating a team, managing operations, and utilizing hospitality management systems to deliver a high-quality guest experience. The Hotel Manager will also enhance customer relations by implementing service improvements, addressing guest inquiries and complaints, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Additionally, the role requires managing inventory, monitoring competitive rates, and continuously assessing and improving operational efficiency. The objective is to maintain a welcoming environment for guests and a productive, motivated team, contributing to the overall success of the property. The Hotel Manager oversees approximately 10-15 employees across the hotel and RV park operations. This includes direct supervision of departmental supervisors in areas such as housekeeping, front desk, and guest services. The Hotel Manager is responsible for ensuring that all staff are well-trained, motivated, and performing their duties to the highest standards. This role involves managing schedules, conducting performance evaluations, addressing employee issues, and fostering a positive work environment. The Hotel Manager also ensures effective communication between departments and maintains a cohesive team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences. QUALIFICATIONS: General: Must be at least 21 years old to obtain a UMUGC Key License (required). Must be able to pass the UMUGC and CG background investigations (no financial crimes or other felonies). Education: A bachelor’s, or higher, degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field preferred.

Certifications: No certifications are required for this role. Proof of knowledge of (or the ability to quickly learn) Agilisys Stay, Rguest Book & Express Mobile, InfoGenesis, Dormakaba Ambiance, Siteminder, Good Sam Campground, Shift4, and Stripe may be required. Proof of knowledge of general hospitality metrics and how to apply them may be required.

Experience: At least 5 years of recent hospitality management experience required, preferably in a resort hotel setting. Recent tribal gaming experience preferred.

  • Experience may be used as a substitute for education (or vice versa) in some cases. The preferred candidate will have at least 3-4 years of combined experience/education.

The property currently has 650 slots, 7 tables, 90 hotel rooms, 80 R.V. spaces, 2 travel centers, and a team-member population of 397.
