Starting Compensation:

$50,000 per year

The Role:

As our General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success and profitability of the property. You will lead a dedicated team and ensure that operations run smoothly, guest experiences are exceptional, and financial goals are met.

Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Drive occupancy, ADR, and overall revenue through strategic relationships, market analysis, and competitive pricing.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic relationships to increase revenue.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Develop and manage department budgets, keeping expenses within target levels.
  • Partner with revenue managers and Sales to make informed decisions about rate adjustments.
  • Demonstrate an ownership mentality towards financial management with a deep understanding of cash flow, budget/forecasting, and fiscal control.


Community Engagement:

  • Identify opportunities to support and engage with the community to drive brand recognition.
  • Show genuine passion for community engagement and true hospitality.


Team Member Engagement:

  • Achieve high Guest Satisfaction Scores and online reviews demonstrated at properties previously under your management.
  • Promote a culture of excellence and continual improvement.
  • Provide clear and engaged mentoring to team members.
  • Address and resolve team member concerns and conflicts with fairness and empathy.
  • Implement strategic programs for team member recognition and retention.


Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure all departments run efficiently and meet standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • Align operations with brand standards and values consistently.
  • Maintain a well-kept hotel with a focus on preventative maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Manage inventory control and labor management effectively.


Cultivating Outstanding Guest Experiences:

  • Ensure consistent delivery of the highest standards of guest service.
  • Monitor guest feedback, recognize opportunities, and implement strategies to address concerns.
  • Enhance the property's reputation through positive guest interactions and proactive resolution of issues.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of hotel management experience, with at least 2 years as a General Manager.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software.
  • Experience with Choice brand properties is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrable experience in financial management, community engagement, team member engagement, operational excellence, and guest experience enhancement.
