The Head of Credit Trading will have the exciting responsibility of executing and managing high-yield and distressed credit trades. They will lead a team of skilled traders and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. We are looking for an ideal candidate with a successful background in running a trading desk, expert knowledge of the high-yield and distressed credit markets, and invaluable connections with market participants.
Work location: 100% in office
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for driving the growth and overseeing the management of the corporate product, strengthening Odeon's presence
Execute and manage trades involving high-yield and distressed credit securities
Lead and supervise a team of traders, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture
Provide liquidity to institutional clients, delivering a consistently high level of service and responsiveness
Develop and implement trading strategies to expand our product range and capitalize on opportunities in high-yield and distressed credit markets
Monitor and analyze market conditions, credit events, and economic trends to inform trading decisions and strategies
Maintain and strengthen relationships with market participants, including brokers, dealers, and institutional accounts
Manage the day-to-day operations of the trading desk, including trade execution, position management, and risk monitoring
Collaborate with research analysts and other team members to identify and evaluate trading opportunities
Prepare and present regular reports on trading performance, market conditions, and risk exposures to senior management
Mentor and develop team members, offering guidance and support to enhance their professional growth and performance
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies pertaining to trading activities, acting as the regulatory supervisor for credit trading

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field
At least 10 years' experience in high-yield and distressed credit trading, with a demonstrated ability to run a trading desk
Active FINRA Licenses: Series 7, 63 and 24
Deep knowledge of high-yield and distressed credit markets, including market dynamics, trading strategies, and credit analysis
Strong relationships with brokers, dealers, and institutional accounts in the high-yield and distressed credit space
Proven track record of generating profitable trading ideas and executing trades with a high level of precision and efficiency
Experience in regulatory compliance and oversight within credit trading activities

Odeon Capital Group provides a total compensation package which may include a base salary, commissions, discretionary performance bonus, and/or a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position, at the time of posting, is $150,000 to $200,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual's experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. The final base salary amount that is offered to any candidate, in any location, will be determined on several factors, which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education, and/or regulatory licenses.
