We are looking for a passionate and experienced high school mathematics teacher to join our dedicated faculty team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mathematics and be capable of teaching a variety of courses, including Algebra I, Honors Algebra I, Algebra II, Honors Algebra II, Geometry, Honors Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Pre-Calculus Honors, AP Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, Statistics, and AP Statistics. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that fosters critical thinking, analytical skills, and effective communication among students.
Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that align with the curriculum standards and objectives of assigned mathematics courses.
Establish a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging student participation, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives.
Cater to diverse learning needs, including students with special needs and English language learners, using various teaching methods.
Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to support academic growth.
Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive and organized learning environment conducive to student success.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units, share best practices, and align teaching strategies across grade levels and subject areas.
Regularly communicate with students, parents, and guardians regarding student progress, academic expectations, and enrichment or intervention opportunities.
Stay updated on advancements in mathematics education, including new teaching methods, educational technologies, and relevant research.
Participate in professional development opportunities, teacher meetings, and school activities as required.
Fulfill other duties and responsibilities assigned by the school administration.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
Valid teaching certificate/license in secondary Mathematics (or equivalent).
Minimum of two years of recent experience teaching high school mathematics, demonstrating effective teaching practices.
Familiarity with diverse teaching strategies, assessment techniques, and educational technologies to enhance student learning and engagement.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, parents, and stakeholders.
