Henley Middle School Physical Education/Health Teacher

The ideal candidate will not only be a dynamic teacher of Health and Physical Education, but will also be passionate about working with middle school students, collaborating with school and district colleagues, and creating strong ties with the community. Possessing the ability to work with a team is an essential characteristic for this position.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and responsibility for behavior.
  • Ensure high quality instruction takes place every day.
  • Collaborate with department and district colleagues.

  • Experience with Health and Physical Education curriculum.
  • Highly organized and strong communicator.
  • Ability to create and maintain community ties.
  • Effective at promoting self-discipline through classroom management strategies.

Primary Function: To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program, as designated by the Klamath County School District, in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

Additional responsibilities and qualifications may be added for a specific position by the supervisor. Physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations.

Compensation

  • 190 day contract
  • Family medical, dental and vision insurance
  • 6% PERS paid by District
  • $49,907-91,207/Annual 2024-2025 school year
