GRMC’s Cancer Center provides medical oncology, radiation oncology, and infusion services so that our patients no longer need to leave their families to travel off-island for modern cancer treatment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Hematologist/Oncologist to join our growing practice. Our team consists of infusion nurses, medical assistants, an oncology certified nurse practitioner, and a medical oncologist. You will be exposed to a variety of types of oncology and hematology diagnoses in our hospital-based outpatient clinic, M-F 8am to 5pm. Compensation And Benefits

  • Salary: 494K to 626K per annum (commensurate with experience)

Job Description

  • Use the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines to ensure appropriate and effective management of cancer.
  • Examines and diagnoses diseases of the blood, bone marrow, vascular and immune system.
  • Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
  • Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition expected.
  • Expert in drug and hormone cancer treatments prescribing treatment in accordance with conditions.
  • Documents findings and treatment regimens and record progress or changes.
  • Coordinate with surgical and radiation oncologists as needed,
  • Explains cancer development stages to patients, discusses treatment options and assists in meeting pain management needs.
  • Prescribes medication or treatment regimens for hospital inpatients and outpatients.
  • Orders or interprets the results of tests such as laboratory tests and diagnostic images.
  • Attends inpatient consultations in areas of specialty.
