Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Miami, FL that is seeking a Help Desk Technician who provides support to end users for computer, application, system, device, access and hardware issues. The Help Desk Support Technician performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. May apply intermediate mathematical skills. Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, researches and resolves technical problems of moderate complexity
  • Responds to telephone, email and on line requests for technical support
  • Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem using applicable systems and tools
  • Decisions are typically focus on methods, tactics and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects
  • Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes and techniques, and works under limited guidance due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED
  • 1-2 years of help desk support experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • Understanding of IT systems and functions with preferred previous work experience in the IT field

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
