Job Overview:


The Outside Catering Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of off-site catering events, ensuring exceptional service and quality. This role involves coordinating logistics, managing catering staff, and liaising with clients to deliver memorable catering experiences. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has a passion for food and customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Coordination:
  • Plan and execute catering events off-site, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing expert advice on menu selections and event logistics.
  • Conduct site visits to assess venue suitability and logistical requirements.
  • Staff Management:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of catering staff, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.
  • Schedule staff shifts and assignments to ensure adequate coverage for all events.
  • Provide leadership and support to the team during events, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Logistics and Operations:
  • Coordinate the transportation of food, equipment, and supplies to event locations.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to, including food handling and hygiene standards.
  • Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of events, ensuring all aspects run smoothly.
  • Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage budgets for catering events, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure the best pricing and quality.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Client Relations:
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Gather feedback post-event to ensure continuous improvement and client satisfaction.
  • Marketing and Sales:
  • Promote the catering services through various channels, including social media, networking events, and partnerships.
  • Work with the sales team to generate leads and secure new business.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in catering management, event planning, or hospitality.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
