We are currently seeking a motivated veteran to join our team as a Heavy Equipment Operator in Orlando, FL. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in safely and efficiently operating heavy machinery, such as dozers and loaders, to move materials and support our construction operations. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to maintaining a smooth and productive workflow.

Position: Heavy Equipment Operator

Location: Orlando, FL

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment, including dozers, loaders, excavators, and graders, to perform various tasks such as excavation, grading, and material handling
• Safely and efficiently load and unload materials, move earth and other materials as required
• Conduct pre-operation equipment inspections to ensure proper functioning and identify any potential issues or safety concerns
• Operate equipment following established procedures, guidelines, and safety protocols
• Collaborate with construction team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet project deadlines
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to keep it in good working condition
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations
• Follow project plans, blueprints, and instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently
• Report any equipment malfunctions, accidents, or incidents immediately to supervisors
• Perform other related duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements:

• Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply, bringing their valuable skills and dedication to the role
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, or related machinery
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong understanding of equipment operation and safety procedures
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions and challenging environments
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
