EHC Construction is currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will efficiently operate a variety of heavy equipment while ensuring equipment integrity through inspections and preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Operate excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, and other heavy equipment proficiently
Conduct regular checks to ensure equipment functionality meets operational standards
Perform routine inspections before operation to detect maintenance needs or repairs
Fulfill additional duties as assigned by supervisors
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficiency in operating heavy machinery with precision and safety
Ability to interpret excavation plans and follow instructions accurately
Completion of safety awareness training
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment
Reliable transportation to and from job sites
Comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment operations and safety protocols
Capability to maintain, inspect, clean, and occasionally repair equipment
Attention to detail and situational awareness to uphold a safe work environment
Strong work ethic and physical stamina to handle tasks requiring lifting of 20+ pounds
