Crane or Heavy Equipment Mechanics Needed
Columbus, OH
Pay Rate: $29.12 to $37.24 hourly, based on experience.
Schedule: 2nd shift 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM (training would be on 1st shift for the first 90 days)
Weekend, Holidays, and Overtime as needed.
Summary: Crane or Lift Equipment Mechanics repair and maintain overhead cranes, side loaders and chassis stackers by performing preventative and emergency maintenance. Duties include identifying problems, performing inspections, doing maintenance work, ordering and replacing parts, running computerized tests, estimating repair costs, updating repair records, and writing technical reports.

Crane or Lift Equipment Mechanicsresponsibilities:
Follow a checklist of inspection procedures
Repair and maintain rubber tire gantry cranes, side loaders and chassis stackers
Perform preventative and emergency maintenance
Inspect equipment for damage or failures, perform diagnostics and repair service for equipment component failures
Remove and replace damaged or defective components, and operate support equipment including forklifts, man lifts and service trucks
Basic Welding
Clean the shop area and perform stocking functions
All work performed must be done in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs
Open availability (24/7/365) available to work nights, weekends, and holidays that fall on your rotation.
Posses personal tools to conduct all repairs (Wrenches, sockets, impact tools, electrical diagnostic)
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
Valid Driver’s License
Experience with maintaining heavy equipment in either the Construction, Transportation, or Intermodal Industry
Other duties as assign
Must be willing to complete a drug screen, physical and background check
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Frequent standing, walking, balancing while walking on elevated catwalks, bending, and grasping.
Occasional sitting, kneeling, squatting, twisting, reaching, lifting and the ability to lift more than 50lbs.
