Heavy Civil Project Engineer

Description:

The Project Engineer will work with the Project Manager, Field Superintendent, and Project Administrator through the life cycle of a project. The Project Engineer acts as an assistant to the Project Manager to ensure projects are completed on time and under budget.

Responsibilities:

• Pre-construction
• Handle documents including but not limited to drawings, submittals, schedules, contracts and subcontracts, RFIs, PCOs, etc.
• Track project progress and update schedules.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare PCOs.
• Coordinate material procurement with superintendents and verify material conformance to contract documents.
• Prepare submittals and subcontractor scopes
• Attend and coordinate weekly site meetings.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of field experience in civil construction (concrete, plant work, wastewater, roads, highways, etc.)
