Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities:
Senior Accountant reviews and interprets CMS and other government documentation, MSO contracts, provider contracts and incentive/settlement arrangements, business (customer/supplier/vendor) agreements
Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports for the company and organizations under MSO contract with the company
Supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal cost accounting processes and systems for classifying the company operating expenses according to MSO customer service agreements
Supports development of budgets and forecasts and reporting of actual results vs. targets, including analysis of material variances and root causes
Prepares financial models/analyses to support current and proposed business transactions, service offerings, performance improvement initiatives, etc.
Prepares and analyzes monthly financial reconciliations related to various eligibility and revenue sources and remittance files for the company and its MSO managed entities
Prepares monthly billing and accrual entries for different revenue sources to promote accurate accrual-basis financial results within established timeframes
Identifies opportunities for revenue optimization and cost savings through research and analysis
Prepares and analyzes monthly financial reconciliations related to medical claim and capitation expenses and disbursements, including estimates of incurred but not reported (IBNR) expense and related claims payable liability
Assists with or leads the month-end and quarterly-end close process for assigned businesses or groups
Participates in system implementation and data integration activities, including process design and testing, and helps in the standardization of revenue/expense analysis
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field; Master's preferred or combination of education and experience; MBA and/or CPA/CMA preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of progressive work experience in accounting and/or healthcare finance-related field
Minimum of one (1) year experience working with CMS, Medicare/Medicaid, or other payer transactions preferred
Accounting and financial reporting and analysis experience in the health insurance industry or consulting field
Experience using MS Excel at a highly proficient level; Experience in MS Access, SQL, SAS, Python, SPSS, or other database software applications preferred
Working knowledge of various payment systems preferred (i.e., Capitation, DRG, Per Diems, Hospice, HHA, Physician Fee Schedules)
Solid computer skills including experience with MS Excel, MS Access, relational databases, and data warehouses
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Accounting and ERP systems experience preferred - MS Dynamics Business Central, PeopleSoft, and Essbase
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
