Job Summary:


The Director of Health Economic Modelling will lead and oversee the development and application of health economic models to support the value proposition of our pharmaceutical products. This role involves directing economic evaluations, cost-effectiveness analyses, and budget impact assessments to inform strategic decision-making and market access strategies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in health economic modelling within the pharmaceutical industry, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a remote environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the design, development, and execution of health economic models, including cost-effectiveness, budget impact, and cost-utility analyses for pharmaceutical products.
  • Oversee the integration of economic modelling outcomes into clinical development, regulatory submissions, pricing, and market access strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, regulatory affairs, market access, and commercial teams, to ensure alignment and integration of health economic insights.
  • Provide strategic direction and mentorship to a team of health economists and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including payers, health technology assessment bodies, and key opinion leaders, to communicate the value of our products.
  • Stay abreast of the latest methodologies, tools, and trends in health economic modelling and incorporate best practices into the team's work.
  • Represent the company at scientific conferences, industry meetings, and regulatory hearings to present health economic evidence and support our product portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards in the development and dissemination of health economic models and evidence.


Qualifications:


  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Health Economics, Health Services Research, Public Health, Epidemiology, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in health economic modelling within the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of leading successful projects.
  • Deep understanding of health economic methodologies, including cost-effectiveness, budget impact, and cost-utility analyses.
  • Proficiency in economic modelling software and tools (e.g., TreeAge, Excel, R, SAS, Stata).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and convey actionable insights.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience leading remote teams.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare systems, reimbursement processes, and regulatory requirements in the United States.
  • Experience in working with real-world evidence and data sources is highly desirable.
