Position Overview

One of our clients is looking for a technology leader to join our dynamic and growing IT team as their Head of Technology Innovation. Our Head of Technology Innovation will play a pivotal role in shaping our company's technology strategy, innovation, and transformation, ensuring alignment with our business goals, and leading the way in leveraging advanced technology.

The ideal candidate is a technology visionary and strategist with proven experience bridging the gap between technology and business. Candidates for this position must have a strong background in IT, development, business growth, and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

IT Product Vision and Leadership:

  • Develop proactive strategies to drive our technology & product initiatives.
  • Conduct a deep audit to assess their current IT infrastructure, identify gaps, and establish a clear technology roadmap for the next 12+ months.
  • Play a pivotal role in our leadership team, facilitating communication and collaboration between technology and other departments.

Development / Engineering Experience: (preferred)

  • Possess hands-on development experience, with a strong understanding of software engineering principles, including web applications, backend systems, and servers.
  • Proficiency in key technologies relevant to our stack, including JavaScript, React, and Node.js. This includes the ability to lead technical teams effectively.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, such as Salesforce, and a deep understanding of CRM technical infrastructure.

AI Leadership:

  • Demonstrate a track record of successfully incorporating AI solutions across business functions, including data management, digital asset management, content creation, and client experience improvements.
  • Utilize AI to improve customer service through enhanced chat and bot responses.
  • Exhibit the ability to articulate, pitch, and implement innovative technology ideas, ensuring AI is a driving force within the organization.

Data Management Experience:

  • Develop data-driven strategies to enhance decision-making, improve customer experiences, and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to incorporate cutting-edge data technologies and tools for optimized data management and analysis
  • Proficiency in managing extensive client data sets for multiple purposes, including sales, marketing, retention, and surveys.

Inter-departmental Collaboration:

  • Understand the nuances of marketing-driven and sales-oriented ecosystems, including proficiency in performance-based marketing, marketing automation, and technology's role in platform integrations.
  • Operate effectively at the intersection of marketing, sales, and customer service, aligning technology strategies with the needs of all client-centric departments.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ Years of IT and/or Product Experience: Candidates should have at least seven years of experience in IT, product leadership roles, with a demonstrated history of leading progressive technology initiatives and shaping strategic technology direction across an organization.
  • Engineering Background: Candidates with prior experience as engineers will be given preference. We are seeking a strategic leader who possesses experience as a software engineer and has a deep understanding of cutting-edge technologies essential for continuous development and innovation.
  • Proven Cross-functional Collaboration: The ideal candidate will possess a diverse background and a track record of successful collaboration across various departments.
  • Technical Project Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading technical projects from inception, showcasing capabilities and leadership potential.
  • Inter-department Partnership Building: A track record of establishing strong partnerships within previous organizations, particularly with marketing, sales, and executive leadership teams.
  • Strategic Technological Vision: Previous experience in developing a strategic technological vision for a company, working closely with marketing and IT departments to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Experience leading digital transformation with a recognized industry leader: Experience in a leadership role at a recognized industry leader is highly preferred. Candidates should have a proven track record of spearheading significant digital transformations within top-tier organizations.
