Founded in 2021, this rapidly growing startup specializes in connecting top talent from Latin America with leading US-based enterprises. As the company continues to scale operations and accelerate growth, it is currently adding to its inaugural senior management team. Following the successful appointment of a VP of Marketing earlier this year, the focus has now turned to securing a highly skilled VP of Sales.


To date, sales leadership has been driven by the founders. The company is now seeking an individual capable of assuming full ownership of the sales function, strategically assembling an exceptional sales team, and catalyzing growth potential to achieve a tenfold increase over the next 2-4 years.


This role offers an opportunity to influence and shape the company's sales strategy, establish scalable processes, and capitalize on current market momentum. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in senior sales management within a rapidly evolving environment, adept at driving revenue, nurturing client partnerships, and fostering a culture of high performance.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a VP of Sales, Director of Sales, or in a similar senior sales leadership role, owning the sales function or leading a sales team within a rapidly growing company.
  • Experience in recruitment, outsourcing, Employer of Record, and RPO space is an asset.
  • Must have experience managing high-volume sales cycles (1 - 3 weeks).
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a hands-on approach, willing to roll up their sleeves and actively contribute to the sales process.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and develop sales teams, with a focus on driving performance and exceeding targets.
  • Expertise in improving sales processes, including CRM utilization, lead routing, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analytical mindset, proficient in tracking and analyzing sales data to drive actionable insights and inform decision-making.
  • Autonomous, self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.


Current Sales team:

  • Direct reports: 2 Account Executives and 1 BDR
  • Indirect reports: Admin and Sales Operation Specialists


Responsibilities:

Sales Team Leadership:

  • Train and coach AEs in various sales techniques, including discovery, pitching, objection handling, negotiation, follow-up, and closing.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to AEs through call reviews and role-playing exercises.
  • Build and scale the sales team by hiring exceptional Account Executives (AEs)
  • Personally engage in closing large deals
  • Monitor and assess AE performance, pipelines, and progress toward quotas.
  • Support AEs in negotiating and closing deals.
  • Measure AEs goals and keep them accountable to them.


Sales Process Improvement:

  • Constantly upgrade our CRM playbook.
  • Establish an effective system for lead routing to ensure proper assignment to the right sales representatives.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to enhance the handoff process between Sales and Fulfillment.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to create impactful sales assets such as one-pagers, testimonials, case studies, etc.
  • Find creative ways to enable our team to sell better


Sales Intelligence:

  • Track and analyze constantly Lost Reasons
  • Track and analyze sales data, including Average Contract Value (ACV) per client, revenue breakdown by segments, roles, and headcount, reasons for lost deals, and sales cycle length.


Sales Documentation and Onboarding:

  • Create a comprehensive sales handbook to standardize processes and best practices.
  • Document sales processes, ensuring clarity and consistency throughout the organization.


Account Development:

  • Design and implement strategies and processes to foster growth and expansion within existing accounts.
