Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Planning
Strategic Leadership: Apply your strategic mindset to guide our organization towards long-term success grounded in thorough planning.
Growth Strategy: Develop and implement innovative growth strategies that expand our reach, deepen our impact, and ensure sustainable growth aligned with our ambitious 10-year goals.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the president and board to develop and execute long-term strategies for growth, impact, and sustainability.
Operational Oversight and Program Development
Operational Oversight: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of various departments and implementing best practices to guarantee effective and efficient administration of programs.
Program Development: Partner with program directors to design, implement, and evaluate impactful initiatives aligned with our mission.
Specific Functional Responsibilities
Financial Management: Work closely with the CFO to manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure the organizations financial health.
Human Resources: Supervise HR functions, including talent acquisition, performance management, and employee development.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to the organizations operations, reputation, and financial stability.
Management Excellence and Performance Metrics
Management Excellence: Inspire and lead parts of our team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.
Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress towards goals and ensure accountability.
Board Engagement and Reporting
Board Engagement: Support the president in engaging and communicating with the board, preparing reports, and ensuring good governance practices.
Qualifications:
10-15 years of overall professional experience, with at least 5-7 years in senior leadership positions.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, operational oversight, and mission-focused program development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
Proven track record of successfully managing and growing organizations, particularly in the private sector.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
Expertise in managing and developing high-performing teams, ideally with experience in culture change and employee development.
Experience working with and reporting to a board of directors or trustees.
The salary range for this position is $244,636.00 to $280,000.00, with the possibility of additional compensation through a discretionary bonus. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors.
