Key Responsibilities:
Identify, develop and execute a machine learning strategy opportunity aligned for drug discovery and personalized medicine.
Collaborate with the executive team on strategic integration.
Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team and foster a collaborative, innovative team culture.
Collaborate with biologists, chemists, and clinicians on projects.
Ensure data availability, integrity, and security and implement best practices for data governance and compliance.
Establish partnerships with academic and industry leaders.
Represent the company at conferences and industry events.
Qualifications:
At least 10 years’ experience in ML, AI, and data science, preferably in biotech or pharma.
Experience leading early stage scale ups to their IPO
Strong programming skills in Python, R, and experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
PhD or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field.
Proven track record in leading high-performing teams.
Understanding of biological data types (genomic, proteomic, clinical).
Willingness to travel occasionally to Cambridge, MA.
