Responsibilities

  • Design and execute the IT infrastructure to support both existing operations and future growth.
  • Lead the planning and execution of strategic IT projects while managing essential daily IT services.
  • Handle vendor management, including negotiations and relationship maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the company to align IT services with business needs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to ensure the company utilizes effective and innovative IT solutions.
  • Manage IT security protocols and compliance with data security regulations and standards, including PHI, GxP, SOX, and other relevant frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive IT policies and procedures.
  • Ensure robust IT disaster recovery and contingency planning.
  • Manage and optimize the IT budget.
  • Maintain and upgrade IT systems and infrastructure as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience in IT management, preferably within the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • In-depth understanding of clinical development processes and regulatory compliance relevant to the pharmaceutical industry, including GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and SOX.
  • Demonstrated experience transitioning an organization from clinical stages to full commercial operations.
  • Proven track record of effective team management and IT department leadership.
  • Extensive experience with both cloud-based and on-premise IT infrastructures.
  • Skilled in managing outsourced IT services and vendor partnerships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
