We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Finance to join our growing team and take control of our financial operations.

Position Summary

Ribbiot is seeking a highly skilled Director/VP of Finance to join our team. This person will take control of the books, iterate on pricing models for SaaS, HaaS, and combo solutions, and help us drive towards cashflow positivity. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, tax management, and strategic financial decision-making in a startup environment.

Working Conditions

• Work is remote with onsite visits primarily taking place in crane yards, construction sites, and similar industrial environments.
• Some travel across the United States, with the potential for extended periods away from home.
• Some evening and weekend work may be required based on customer needs.

Responsibilities

1) Accounting and Financial Management:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including managing a controller and working with external accountants.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain all taxes, including R&D tax credits, and ensure compliance with state and local taxes, including employment tax and registration with various states.

2) Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

• Develop and maintain financial models and projections.
• Create and manage budgets, ensuring the lengthening of runway.
• Provide detailed financial analysis and strategic insights to support decision-making.

3) Pricing Model Development:

• Iterate on different pricing models for SaaS, HaaS, and combo solutions, including professional implementation services.
• Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to inform pricing strategies.

4) Cash Management and Strategy:

• Oversee overall cash management and treasury functions.
• Craft strategies to achieve cashflow positivity as quickly as possible.
• Partner with the CEO on investor relations, fundraising, and preparing board decks.

5) Operational Support:

• Implement scalable financial systems and processes (e.g., transition from QuickBooks to Netsuite).
• Manage risk control measures, including D&O insurance and other operational risks.
• Assist with employee expense reimbursements, billing, and invoice management.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations, including employment taxes.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably as a VP of Finance or CFO.
• Strong understanding of SaaS and HaaS pricing models and financial strategies.
• Excellent financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting skills.
• Experience in managing tax compliance and R&D tax credits.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Ideal candidate will additionally possess the following

• Experience in fundraising, specifically preparing for Series A and above rounds.
• Strong network within the venture capital and startup communities.
• Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies that align with business goals.
• Experience in scaling startups and managing rapid growth.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements in a startup environment.
• Ability to provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team.
• Demonstrated success in driving cost efficiencies and maximizing profitability.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and hands-on approach.
• Experience with financial software and tools relevant to startup finance management.
• Ability to build and lead a finance team as the company grows.
