Head of Finance

Dartmouth Partners are working with a Financial Services organization, seeking to hire a Head of Finance. This business is strategically positioned within an underserved space and primed to grow exponentially.

The business is seeking a strong Finance professional with a broad skillset to step into an end-to-end role to support the organization with financial controls, accounting, FP&A, and reporting, developing the finance function and making it their own. This role will report directly to the CEO.

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting for all company transactions, including responsibility over the month-end close process and production of all financial statements.
• Work with the CEO and other stakeholders to influence business decisions and drive business growth.
• Ownership of annual budgeting process as well as forecasting and conducting various analyses.
• Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and tax filings, including coordinating with external auditors and tax firms.
• Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures.

Candidates must be based in New York City and be able to commute on site. Prior experience in financial services and/or a start-up/scale-up environment is highly preferred and candidates with this background will be most suitable.
