Role Overview
As the Head of Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and engaging with innovation leaders across the corporate landscape. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate relationships within the New York ClimateTech ecosystem, collaborating with partners to nurture high-potential startups with pathways to corporate adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, prospect, and build relationships with ecosystem partners in energy, construction, transportation, and industrial sectors.
Navigate the New York State ecosystem, advocating for value proposition and fostering partnerships with key stakeholders.
Collaborate closely program managers to align initiatives and achieve shared goals.
Develop ecosystem partnerships to assemble coalitions for startup support.
Facilitate funding opportunities for startups, both dilutive and non-dilutive.
Coordinate the startup selection process in conjunction with other ClimateTech ecosystem participants.
Elevate profile through regional speaking engagements and engagements with ecosystem partners.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in relevant sectors.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in New York State developing innovation ecosystems and forging public-private partnerships.
Previous experience in venture or team building.
Domain expertise in energy, buildings, transportation, or industrial sectors.
Strong marketing skills with the ability to promote the ecosystem.
Excellent communication skills and a disciplined approach to execution.
Self-motivated individual who excels in uncertain situations and thrives in a team environment.
Passion for driving sustainable and equitable innovations in energy, transportation, and buildings sectors.
Bachelor's degree required.
