Head of Debt and Equity

Job Title: "Director of debt and equity for real estate construction loan".

Job Description: Our client is a boutique family own Real Estate developer based in Aventura, Miami, FL with real estate projects in the student housing market, seeking a Director of Institutional Capital of Debt and Equity.

This role requires at least five years of experience underwriting USD 100 mm plus, real estate

construction loans, for multifamily projects, preferably within the Student Housing market.

The Head of Debt & Equity plays a key role Preparing project proforma and shopping for construction loan term sheets. Prepare the execution of all loans, including pricing, loan structure, draft the project proforma and OM to shop for construction loan looking into institutional lenders and equity investors.

Manage underwriting, due diligence and loan closing transactions.

Support the formation of real estate transactions and relative documentation efforts

Interface with Finance and Accounting, Lenders, and Attorneys, and ownership during loan underwriting.

Provide proactive support such as stress testing, scenario analysis, and new business proposals.

Work cross-functionally across the organization to drive business growth. Proven ability to read, abstract and analyze complex legal real estate related documentation including financing/loan agreements, partnership agreements, construction documents, and corporate financial statements for relevant financial information that will impact the real estate transaction

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance or related field preferred.

Required Experience: 5+ years of experience in Real Estate Proven success securing construction loans for

Real Estate Development, preferable in Multifamily deals and even more Student Housing projects.
