Responsibilities
- Participates in engineering related studies, processes, designs, inspections, and quality tests.
- Provides support with testing and troubleshooting in a variety of engineering tasks.
- Participates in assembling prototypes and ensures proper interaction of components.
- Supports the gathering, recording, and maintaining engineering specific information.
- Identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to report and solve.
- Supports the preparation of technical reports and analysis of technical issues. Ability to understand standards, specifications, and other documents to implement assigned tasks.
- Works independently and collaboratively with colleagues to resolve complex issues.
- Implement quality and process improvements.
- Education: Associate of Science degree in Electrical / Electronics Technology or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in related electronic hardware design/test environment.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics and datasheets.
- Able to proficiently operate electronic measurement and analysis lab equipment (for example, oscilloscope, meters, analyzers, power supplies).
- Able to wire and set up test equipment.
- Perform testing in a development lab environment and perform hardware fault insertion testing.
- Electronic component-level soldering experience.
- Knowledge and ability to program automation control equipment (PLC).
- Demonstrates good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in reporting, and focused on work tasks.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Problem solving/debugging skills.
- Familiarity with design of Programmable Logic Controllers Input / Output devices and Central Processing Units.
- Use and proficiency with Automation engineering systems (TIA Portal) is a plus- including fundamental LAD and SCL language programming.
- Familiar with safety related standards or processes.
- Use and proficiency with schematic capture tools.
