The ART Hotel Denver is seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Hotel Guest Service Agent, Front Desk Clerk, or Front Office Agent to join our team. As a Hotel Guest Service Agent, Front

Desk Clerk, or Front Desk Agent you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and delightful experience during their stay.

In the role of Hotel Front Desk Clerk, Front Office Agent, or Guest Service Agent, you will be responsible for assisting guests with check-in and check-out procedures, answering inquiries about hotel services and facilities, and providing recommendations for local attractions and dining options. Additionally, the Hotel Front Desk Clerk, Front Desk Agent, or Guest Service Agent will handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally in order to exceed their expectations and leave a lasting positive impression.

To succeed in this position, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a friendly demeanor are also essential for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Some Key Areas of Responsibility for the Hotel Guest Service Agent, Front Desk Clerk, or Front Desk Agent include:

  • Welcome all guests and confirm bookings upon their arrival
  • Act as a point of contact for guests who require help or information and attend to their wants and needs
  • Arrange activities, excursions, and transportation for hotel guests per their request
  • Provide the best local recommendations, gather in-depth knowledge about the premises as well as surrounding venues and businesses
  • Handle and distribute messages and mail, as well as redirect calls by answering the phone and making reservations
  • Answer any issues or complaints made by guests and come up with solutions quickly

Requirements for the Hotel Front Desk Agent, Front Desk Clerk, or Guest Service Agent include:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • One year of experience in the hospitality industry as a hotel front desk agent, hotel receptionist, or guest service specialist preferred
  • Knowledge of the local area to make recommendations for a variety of services
  • Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable taking telephone calls and mitigating stressful situations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems
