The Ameritania Hotel at Times Square is seeking a Guest Service Agent to join its front office team. As a GSA, you will be responsible for checking guests in/out, running daily reports, handling guest transactions, answering any phone or in-person inquiries, and ultimately facilitating a seamless guest experience with all hotel departments.


REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in guest services at a hotel or equivalent required
  • Substantive working knowledge of Opera software, strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of general hotel safety and security protocols, preferred
  • Ability to perform computer-based tasks efficiently and accurately, such as data entry, accounting, word processing, and billing
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Time management and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to read and comprehend instructions as well as adhering to directives
  • Ability to correspond with memos
  • Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization including corrective conversations
  • Additional language skills, a plus
