Liz-Desir Travel Group (LDTG) was created to bring individuals together in one place to explore together, network, and build newfound connections. We strive to build a community that brings people together abroad for a stress-free and luxurious experience. In addition to our immersive group trips, we provide private trip consulting services for individuals, or private groups, that are looking to save time when it comes to their trip-planning process.


ABOUT THIS ROLE


Join our small team of aspiring travelers, travel enthusiasts, and connoisseurs! We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Consultant in B2C sales with a background in the tourism/ travel sector to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for travel, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients, understand and share our group travel packages, and drive to achieve sales targets and growth. 


LDTG Group Travel Sales Consultant is a remote, straight-commission, and contract-based role for which you’ll have a flexible schedule and manage your availability. As an LDTG Group Travel Sales Consultant (GTSC) you will be the primary liaison between current & prospective clients and LDTG until initial sales completion and will report directly to the company’s Founder & Head of Travel Operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients understanding their preferences (if any) that aligns with our available group trips 

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to grow the client base and achieve sales targets 

  • Identify ways to market products to new consumers

  • Develop a pipeline of opportunities and manage all aspects of the sales cycle, from lead generation through qualification and closing

  • Assist and respond to client questions about our terms, group travel products, pricing, and other relative factors during the active sales process, and when needed

  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales goals through proactive sales efforts and strategic account management

  • Contact potential and existing clients on the phone, and/or via email

  • Have extensive product knowledge of our active and future group trip products 

  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, from initial inquiry/ contact, until sale completion

  • Research, and participate in networking events, social events, company events, and promotional activities to generate leads and build brand awareness 

  • Remain in the know on overall marketing-sales strategies, contribute to the outline, and provide advisement and feedback when needed

  • Maintain accurate records of client/ prospect client interactions, bookings, and sales activities in the company’s CRM system(s) or similar

  • Constantly seek new ways to make the company’s group travel products more attractive to current and prospective clients

  • Have weekly to bi-weekly check-ins with the Founder & Head of Travel Ops

  • Conduct and lead presentations with clients/ prospective clients during exclusive group calls or scheduled 1:1 calls 

  • Resolve client issues and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty

  • Demonstrate advanced sales knowledge and stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and LDTG group travel product knowledge, discounts/ offerings


QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 1 - 3 years experience in a sales role
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality & tourism/travel industry
  • Valid driver’s license is a plus
  • Must be based in the U.S.
  • Passion for relationship building and selling
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A professional, yet personable telephone and video call demeanor
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently
  • A great sense of self-motivation, ambition, and determination
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • High proficiency in Google Suites/ Workspace
  • High proficiency in Monday.com CRM software (or similar)
  • A passion for travel and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasive skills for the purposes of closing deals
  • Great presentation & networking skills 
  • Good self-management and time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and devise sales strategies
  • Resilience, persistence, and a willingness to cope with rejection
  • Ability to explain product features and benefits in a way that is authentic & stands out
  • Passionate about finding ways to satisfy customers’ needs


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION​

  • Must be based in the U.S.
  • You have the ability to create your own schedule for this role, based on your availability and client’s availability/ needs (which may include evenings & weekends)
  • Please note: we will be sure to inform you of certain scheduled meetings, recurring check-ins, in-person local events (depending on where you are based), and group calls that require your attendance and/or participation well in advance.
  • Must be proactive and a self-starter for this role 
  • Commission percentage increase upon exceeding monthly sales goal


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS​

  • Straight Commission-Based Compensation (5% - 8% per sale commission)
