A top retailer is looking for a Group UX Design Director to lead the charge in creating best-in-class digital experiences for the store and supply chain teams. Must be onsite in Bentonville, AR. Relocation assistance will be provided.


Responsibilities:

  • Championing Inclusive Design: You'll foster a design philosophy that prioritizes the needs of all users, ensuring our digital tools are accessible and empowering for everyone.
  • Leading the Vision: You'll define the strategic design direction for our associate experience portfolio, crafting a roadmap that integrates streamlined operations, cutting-edge technology, and associate feedback.
  • Building Strong Partnerships: You'll collaborate closely with store and supply chain operators, business partners, engineers, and fellow design leaders to bring your vision to life.
  • Empowering Your Team: You'll lead a multi-disciplinary team of designers, writers, and researchers, fostering a culture of creativity, growth, and innovation.
  • Delivering Exceptional Design: You'll bring a passion for user-centered design, employing your expertise to craft beautiful, intuitive, and data-driven experiences.


You're a Great Fit If You Have

  • Experience and Expertise: A bachelor's degree in design or a related field, with 18+ years of experience in product design, including managing teams.
  • Strategic Visionary: The ability to define a design vision, translate it into a plan, and see it through to execution.
  • Proven Track Record: A history of shipping impactful products in a fast-paced environment, embracing experimentation, iteration, and continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Experience building and leading large, diverse design teams, fostering a strong and inclusive design culture.
  • Hands-on Approach: A passion for physical-digital prototyping and user testing to ensure our solutions meet real-world needs.
  • Problem-Solving Prowess: The ability to resourcefully solve problems and adapt to changing situations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience leading the product design process and building strong partnerships across departments.
  • Design Expertise: Excellent visual and interaction design skills with a keen understanding of user experience trends and AI-driven design principles.
  • Tool Mastery: Adeptness with design tools and a commitment to high-quality design execution while empowering your team to deliver their best work.
  • Strategic Mindset: A strong strategic approach and a systems thinking mentality.
