The incumbent is responsible for general grounds maintenance and upkeep of all areas including the exterior of buildings and roadways.
Maintains grounds on NASA GRC property performing one or more of the following tasks:
Cuts grass, using walking‐type or riding mowers.
Trims hedges and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls, using hedge trimmers, clippers and edging tools.
Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth, using shears and other hand tools.
Plants grass, flowers, trees and shrubs.
Picks up and carts away leaves, paper or other litter. Removes snow from walks, driveways, roads, or parking lots, using shovel and snow blower.
Responsible for pest control and removal.
Spreads de-icing material on walkways and other areas.
Repairs fences and gates. Assists in repair of roads and walks.
Performs other related duties as assigned
