Greenhouse/Nursery Irrigator

Fall Creek is creating a world with better blueberries through its friendly, collaborative team spread across the globe. To help us accomplish this, we are seeking a Greenhouse/ Nursery Irrigator This position will be located in Lowell, OR.

The Fall Creek Greenhouse/ Nursery Irrigator performs a variety of duties related with propagation and/or production. This position is responsible for following the Worker Protection Standard (WPS), the Company’s safety standards, and the respectful workplace policy at all times.

What you'll do at Fall Creek:

• Realizes daily monitoring to check the irrigation needs at production or propagation area, to make sure plants are healthy and growing under standards.
• Realizes continuous scouting to detect pest and diseases
• In charge of all related activities for adequate ventilation at production or propagation area.
• In charge of pesticide application (spraying) in production areas.
• Realizes irrigation and fertirrigation process, following all protocols to assure safety and plant quality.
• Maintain working area in adequate operation conditions
• Review irrigation system, and detect if there is any issue related.
• Makes notes at Record book
• Give notice to the Team Leader or Production Manager about any irregularity at production areas
• Carry out regular reports about plants condition
• Responsible for reporting any unsafe conditions immediately.
• Keeps tools clean and in good operating condition.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment and adheres to PPE requirements.
• Maintains a respectful work environment.
• Performs other tasks as directed.

Desired Qualifications

• A valid Oregon driver’s license and the ability to maintain a valid license plus an acceptable (insurable) driving record as determined by our insurance carrier.
• Previous experience in an agricultural or nursery environment.
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
