Graphics/Pre-Press Manager

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Graphics/Pre-Press Manager at our Villa Rica II facility. This position will be responsible for the plate and ink departments as well as maintaining the relationship with customer graphics. This position will report to the Plant Manager. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma/ GED This position requires 4 – 6 years of job related experience Knowledge in Measure Color, print technologies, and maintaining relationships with external customers Graphics separations in relations to printing Graphics approvals Experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment Must be able to communicate effectively at all organizational levels Internal Requirements: Must have been in current role for more than 120 days Cannot have a discipline that is written or above Last review needs to be at least "Performer" or higher Knowledge in Measure Color, print technologies, and maintaining relationships with external customers Graphics separations in relations to printing Graphics approvals Job Responsibilities: Process improvement, resulting in improved graphic quality resulting in customer satisfaction and minimization of product waste. The Graphics Manager will act as the liaison between Printpack and our pre-press suppliers as well as our customers. Acts as customer contact for all graphic needs Serves as point of contact to ensure clear understanding between customers and production, assessing their needs and creating systems to provide for their current and future needs Manages the Graphics Department, to include directing and budgeting in a way that will support our customers and production in the most efficient manner Reviews and implements technological advances as warranted by cost, efficiency, and quality improvements Review items for improved printing. Approve new graphics compared to proofs Refine soc’s and sop’s for printing Research new print technologies Maintain anilox and establish incoming testing Provides printing expertise for process printing for flexo to include training and assistance to plant associates as required Will oversee daily operations of the Ink, Plate making, and Plate mounting departments.
