Position Overview:
Washington Shoe Company is seeking a dynamic and creative Graphic Print Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will use their skills and creativity to create original trend-appropriate illustrations and graphic concepts for all design needs, logos, products, and packaging, while ensuring that their work aligns seamlessly with our brand's vision. They would possess a keen eye for color, print, scale, and pattern. As the Graphic Print Artist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the brand awareness, driving sales, and creating smiles for our customers.
Graphic Print Artistresponsibilities may include:
Collaborating with design team and marketing to gather industry data on key trends.
Creating prints and illustrations for footwear, apparel, accessories, packaging, and promotional materials.
Maintain and elevate brand aesthetic across all touchpoints and all graphic design tools.
Creating spec tech packs for sample development.
Communicating with overseas factories and agents, providing design comments with visual and physical references.
Managing deadlines, ensuring projects and presentations are completed on time.
Creating presentation boards for customers and sales teams.
Assisting and attending design meetings, sample reviews, and line reviews.
A possibility of traveling for meetings and tradeshows.
Take on additional design projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in art or design related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in design.
Proven track record of developing and executing original print designs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Creative thinker with a keen eye for design and attention to detail.
Proficiency in CAD using Adobe Illustrator & Creative Suite, Photoshop.
Common business applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
