Graphic Designer

UNITE Hair, a professional hair care brand that sells and distributes its premium line to top-tier salons, beauty retailers, and direct-to-consumer online, is looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing, and highly creative graphic designer to join its in-house marketing team. As graphic designer, you’ll help develop and execute the creative direction for the brand. This position is perfect for a self-motivated, creative that thrives in an entrepreneurial environment. Position is remote but will require in-person attendance for seasonal photo/video shoots.

As a graphic designer at UNITE you will:

• Work on and own various types of digital and traditional assets from conception to completion. Projects to include emails, website content, social content, ads, merchandising, printed collateral and packaging such as boxes, bags, posters/signage, mailers, and more. 
• Innovate and explore creative solutions within the brand aesthetic and overarching brand strategy
• Assist on photo and video shoots, including occasional prop-styling and prop-sourcing
• Occasionally photo retouch and color-correct
• Collaborate both internally as well as work with cross-functional teams
• Keep up to date on current beauty, design, and fashion trends
• Manage up by participating in regular one-on-one meetings while keeping your manager up to date
• Be a self-starting, reliable, enthusiastic member of the team

The qualifications you’ll need to be successful

• Bachelor’s degree in a design-related field (required)
• 3-5 years of work experience as a graphic designer in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent typography and design skills with an elevated eye for luxury aesthetics
• Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as Klaviyo, Shopify
• Production knowledge and the ability to create both digital and print-ready files
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to turn constructive feedback into solid and viable solutions
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Flexible and comfortable with changes and marketing shifts

It will be a bonus if you have:

·     Experience with Asana, Slack, Canva

·     Experience with Premier and After Effects

·     Working knowledge of HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS a plus
