About The Role

As part of the Marketing team, the Graphic Design Intern will report to the Lead Graphic Designer and work together to elevate the honeygrow brand through in-store design, emails, signage, website content, and a variety of other projects on an as-needed basis. This internship provides the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of the design department and to actively participate in real-world design projects. The Graphic Design Intern should be a motivated, creative individual with a foundational understanding of design software,

seeking to learn through doing, and make a meaningful impact on the brand.

ROLES + RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Brainstorm and make creative contributions to campaigns, swag, packaging design, print material, and more.
  • Track projects and consistently communicate progress to Lead Graphic Designer.
  • Photo editing including retouching, clipping, and exporting to various sizes for company use and digital ordering platforms.
  • Utilize existing assets to generate new posters, flyers, cards, murals and additional media as needed.
  • Generate email graphics based on previous templates and detailed briefs.
  • Create custom animations using existing graphics and video assets.
  • Assist with and participate in photo and video shoots.
  • Update and maintain honeygrow website and digital signage as needed.
  • Help as needed regarding restaurant openings or any other urgent tasks necessitated by the Marketing team.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • BFA or enrollment in a related program.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
  • Understanding of File Sharing Platforms (Google Drive).
  • Animation experience and/or illustration skills preferred but not required.
  • Passionate about learning and driven to learn and adhere to best practices.
  • Comfortable asking questions and communicating with various levels of marketing and restaurant staff.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.


Please note that this is not a remote position. honeygrow’s Restaurant Support Center (HQ) is located in Philadelphia, PA.
