Position Summary

IEM is looking for a Full Time – Grants Manager to join our Disaster Recovery Team.

Primary Location:

  • All remote work environments require the ability to maintain minimum Internet speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download, as well as a ping rate of 100 ms or less during working hours, regardless of the type and number of devices using your Internet connection. You must also have account privileges and access to your Internet service provider account during working hours for the purposes of maintaining the Internet connection, if needed.

Essential Functions

  • Provides subject matter expertise in a wide range of duties directly related to grant management activities of the HOME Program and Multifamily Development.
  • Possess knowledge of the technical aspects of the federal grant programs and exercise independent judgment in coordination and advice to Recipient and Subrecipients, within the limits of applicable Federal and State statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of HOME Program, HUD and Multifamily Development including regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Ensure that all activities related to HOME Program adhere to federal regulations, HUD guidelines, and applicable laws.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams in navigating HOME ARP program, including training, best practices, and problem-solving.
  • Identify potential risks associated with Grant projects and work on mitigation strategies to prevent interruptions.
  • Keeps Recipient informed about the latest HUD guidelines, regulations, and industry trends related to HOME Program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in accounting, business, finance, engineering, architecture, construction management, or similar fields; or experience commensurate with the proven ability to perform the above stated duties.
  • 5 years of experience in the management of federal funds including the Production or Preservation of Affordable Housing, Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA), Development of Affordable Housing and Supportive Services including homeless prevention services or equivalent experience commensurate with the ability to perform the necessary duties.
