Overview
Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Development Officer, the Grants Administrator is responsible for all aspects of institutional giving, including identifying potential foundation and government grant opportunities, developing effective proposals and managing reporting activities and maintaining the institutional giving calendar.

Overview
Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Development Officer, the Grants Administrator is responsible for all aspects of institutional giving, including identifying potential foundation and government grant opportunities, developing effective proposals and managing reporting activities and maintaining the institutional giving calendar.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Chief Development Officer to establish funding projects and priorities
- Research, identify, develop, and respond to public and private grant opportunities on the local, state, and federal level.
- Prepare, assemble, and submit materials to potential funders that persuasively communicate Caramoor’s mission and impact of programming
- Manage grant calendars, deadlines, and reporting requirements to ensure timely submission and compliance of proposals, applications, and reports
- Collaborate with Caramoor’s Artistic, Education, and Finance departments to develop information for grant proposals, including narratives, timelines, budgets, and images
- Maintain foundation and government records in Raiser’s Edge database with contact information, funding guidelines, and deadlines.
- Ensure that Caramoor meets and exceeds any recognition requirements associated with successful grant applications
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with grantors, donors, and funding partners to support ongoing fundraising efforts
- Participate in special fundraising activities, including galas and cultivation events
- Successful track record in securing 4-6 figure foundation and government grants
- Experience in collaborating across departmental lines to develop grant proposals
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and balance deadlines while working a flexible schedule
- Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exercises discretion regarding confidential and institutional information
- Demonstrate interest in Caramoor’s mission
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field a plus
- Authorization to work in the U.S. is required
