Grade Math Teacher -- Remote | WFH

Qualifications

Possession of appropriate certification and meeting highly qualified requirements.

Documentation of a negative test or another tuberculosis-screening test recommended by the US Centers for Disease Control administered within 12 months before the starting date of employment.

Possession of a Food Handler's Card authorized through the Arizona Department of Health prior to the starting date of employment.

Reports To: Person(s) designated by the Board or Superintendent.

Supervises: Paraprofessionals, volunteers, students, and student teachers.

III. Plans For Instruction

Develops weekly lesson plans aligned with goals, objectives, and activities.

Assesses students' skill levels to determine appropriate learning objectives.

Plans instruction to achieve selected objectives, ensuring varied cognitive engagement.

Organizes resources to facilitate goal achievement and monitors student progress.

IV. Provides Instruction

Delivers instruction tailored to students' skill levels and learning objectives.

Sequences learning activities logically and employs diverse instructional techniques.

Models correct performance and provides clear directions and explanations.

Monitors student learning and adjusts instruction to meet individual needs.

Evaluates students according to consistent objective criteria.

V. Utilizes Learning Principles In Providing Instruction

Communicates the purpose and value of learning objectives to students.

Provides adequate teacher-directed and independent practice, holding students accountable for learning.

Provides focus at the beginning of lessons and summarizes learning using various methods.

VI. Implements Classroom Management Strategies

Utilizes effective classroom management techniques and communicates behavior expectations.

Demonstrates flexibility in working with individuals, small groups, or large groups as per instructional objectives.

Manages inappropriate behavior following established discipline procedures.
