Opportunity: CourseCo, a leading Northern California Golf Management Company seeks General Manager for Valley of the Moon Club. Valley of the Moon Club is a true treasure found in the heart of Northern California’s beautiful Wine Country. The property boasts a newly remodeled restaurant and banquet facility and two golf courses.
Though this position has ultimate responsibility for managing the entire facility, there is a heavy emphasis on providing leadership, planning and coordination of food & beverage operations. This leader will build strong connections with department heads and help to assure successful interdepartmental coordination. This position is responsible for contract compliance and for ensuring the clean, attractive, and safe condition of public and non-public areas of the property at all times. The General Manager works closely in partnership with the Golf Course Operations lead, the Food & Beverage Manager and the course Superintendent.
The General Manager will execute marketing strategies and organize community outreach efforts. This position reports directly to a Senior Operating Manager and works closely with the Chief Operations Officer to ensure success for the facility.
Job function includes: development and management of the property budget; training and supervision of all staff. Position is directly responsible for management of all departmental functions including restaurant, banquet operations, event sales, golf operations, tournaments and merchandising. Position will ensure a focus on customer service and hospitality are delivered in all parts of the operation.
Successful candidate must have 3+ years’ experience in a leadership role as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or equivalent in the hospitality industry.
Compensation is commensurate with experience within the $120,000 – $140,000 range plus bonus. Benefits include: shared health plan, 401(k), professional dues, vacation, paid sick time off, employee discounts and approved education.
