GM/ Wine Director

Louie's Wine Dive is currently hiring for the GM/ wine director position. You must have a wine background & a great sense of humor. We work hard, learn everyday & drink good juice. There is no limit to how high-up you can move with us.

Great attitude & energy (A must!)

• Previous experience in an upscale full service restaurant as a server or bartender
• Understanding of P&L/ Labor and COG’s
• Up to date on best practices in the kitchen
• Strong bartending skill preferred (You need to know when to shake & stir)
• Must be courteous, and good natured. (Can't be uptight)
• Desire to learn about more about wine (history, science, art, other cultures etc)
• Empathetic, compassionate & charismatic
• Passion for Hospitality (you gotta like people)
• Knowledge of classic cocktails
• Awesome sense of humor (non-negotiable)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Do you speak Chef & Guest?)
• Develop & maintain vendor relationships (make friends with purveyors & get good deal)
• Enjoy meeting new people (Does the phrase"never met a stranger" apply to you?)

• (We would also prefer you to have good taste in music but that's strictly personal, not professional)
• Minimum 2 years of full service restaurant industry experience for servers and bartenders (exceptions based on attitude & charisma and energy will be made for this requirement)

• Physical expectations include working in a standing position for long periods of time, as well as can reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds. All food handlers' & liquor permits are required. Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.
