Location

This position will be performed remotely with travel as needed for business development.

Summary Of Role

The GM & VP of Sales, New Homes will be responsible for focusing on developing home builder relationships to deliver Palmetto’s suite of clean technology solutions. This role reports to SVP, Palmetto Operations.

Strategic & Tactical

  • Leads business development efforts that focus on leveraging our platform and products to deliver a differentiated offering to home builder clients
  • Ensures partnership and transparency between the Palmetto Energy and Palmetto Finance platforms to ensure no cannibalization of partnerships
  • Identifies opportunities, builds relationships, and executes to achieve our business objectives
  • Delivers new ideas, segments, and thought leadership to discuss other opportunities to expand the platform
  • Keeps informed on industry trends, regulations, technological advancements, and conducts market research and intelligence to identify opportunities for growth
  • Collaborates with internal teams, including Technology, Finance, Revenue, and Operations, to ensure successful implementation and delivery of solar solutions to external customers
  • Works in close partnership with the SVP, GM Palmetto Finance and SVP, Strategy & Head of Operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA a plus
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in a sales and business development role, with experience in the home builder industry preferred
  • Deep understanding of the residential solar industry and its market dynamics
  • Ability to ideate, develop and execute strategic plans, in close collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders
  • Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced customer-centric environment where priorities may change quickly
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
