Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $169,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. We are looking for a Sales Operations Manager possessing technical, financial, and business operations skill sets to partner with the global Startups Segment team and play a key role in supporting the Startups business on AWS.
Executive Insights
In this role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and efficiency across the Startups Segment. Your primary focus will be on:
- Partner with business analytics counterparts to develop and maintain comprehensive reporting and dashboards to track key performance metrics, sales pipeline, and revenue
- Leverage data-driven insights to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Collaborate with teams across the Startups business to provide data-backed recommendations to inform strategic decision-making
- Assist in management of the sales forecasting process, analyzing trends and variances to provide accurate and timely projections
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate revenue recognition and reporting
- Identify and address any operational roadblocks impacting the sales team's ability to close deals and progress pipeline
- Streamline and standardize sales operations processes to drive consistency and scalability
- Implement tools and technologies to automate repetitive tasks and improve productivity
- Document and socialize best practices to enable the broader team

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
- 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience and intermediate to advanced SQL experience
- Experience working within a high-growth, technology company
- Knowledge of and familiarity with the startup ecosystem, to include the role of venture capital firms and accelerators/incubators in driving startup success
