Clariant is currently looking for a Global Key Account Manager to support the Oil Services division of our Care Chemicals business unit. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with our most significant global clients in the oil and gas industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong sales acumen, excellent relationship-building skills, and a technical understanding of the oil services market. You will work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs, drive revenue growth, and ensure customer satisfaction. This position is a hybrid role based in the Gulf of Mexico region of the US or Europe - based on applicant location. Responsibilities

  • Maintain a deep understanding of our Oil Services portfolio and industry trends to effectively address client needs
  • Provide clients with expert advice on the best solutions and services to meet their operational and business objectives
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams to identify new opportunities, build the opportunity pipeline, and promote value propositions of Clariant
  • Own the development and execution of sales strategies to ensure all projects meet client specifications, quality standards, and are delivered on time
  • Drive HSE and sustainability initiatives for global key accounts
  • Lead contract negotiations with key accounts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both the client and the company
  • Manage contract renewals, amendments, and compliance with contractual obligation
  • Ensure all agreements align with company policies and strategic goals
  • Prepare and present regular reports on account performance, sales activities, and market trends to senior management
  • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable insights
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key global accounts in the oil services sector

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within the oil and gas industry
  • An established presence and contacts in the Oil and Gas industry preferred
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills i.e., proposals, tendering, and contracts/T&C reviews
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence multiple levels of an organization, including executive/C-Suite decision makers
  • Strong business acumen, high level of autonomy, with a proactive approach to make complex decisions within operating guidelines
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally is required; approximately 25%-50%
