Position Overview: The Global Facilities Manager will oversee the management and maintenance of all company-owned and leased properties globally. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in facilities management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects across different time zones and regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Management:

  • Develop and implement a global facilities management strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
  • Coordinate with regional facilities teams to ensure consistent standards and practices.

Maintenance and Operations:

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all company facilities.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of assets.
  • Ensure all facilities comply with local health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Project Management:

  • Manage global construction and renovation projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the global facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Vendor Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure the quality of services provided meets company standards.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of facilities professionals across different regions.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence.

Sustainability Initiatives:

  • Drive sustainability initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint.
  • Implement energy-efficient systems and promote green building practices.

Crisis Management:

  • Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure the safety of employees and the continuity of operations during crises.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a global or multi-site role.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations across different regions.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different cultures and time zones.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facilities Management Professional (FMP), or equivalent.
