Our first product line SuperGloss is a tinted moisturizer for hair, and is formulated to condition, care, hydrate and repair. We first launched exclusively with Superdrug in the UK and have now expanded to Target in the USA.

 

Job Description:

We are looking for a North America Account Director to drive retail sales, exceed sales goals, gain market share, drive successful events, and build brand awareness. The sales team is responsible for commercial excellence at Glaze. We are the lead with our customer accounts, ensuring flawless brand execution and supporting our retail partners to deliver sales targets! We use customer insights to drive sales, put the customer at the heart of every decision and ensure we create customer specific programs for our retail partners.  

 

We are looking for an energetic and passionate North American Account Director to oversee multiple accounts across North America, manage account P&Ls and drive the business across accounts. Establish strategic and strong relationship across accounts with key stakeholders. Develop and negotiate brand sales fundamentals and 360 marketing plans. Build, manage and achieve sell in and sell out budgets while driving market share increases. Work closely with cross functional teams to develop innovative retail and customer centric programs. 


This role will report into the General Manager Glaze and dotted line into the Global Commercial Director.


Location: USA/Remote

 

Responsibilities: 

Drive Sales and Profitability 

·      Responsible for driving sell out and sell in; inclusive of omni strategy and execution 

·      Commercial terms negotiations

·      Monitor trade spending and promotional activity 

·      Build and submit accurately weekly, monthly and yearly account forecasts. Inclusive of base, promotional planning, markdowns and returns 

·      Drive efficiencies for topline and bottom line 

 

Customer Relationship Builder

·      Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders as credible business partner: empowered, reliable, and helpful. Ability to influence across multiple teams at the account to drive business objectives

·      Gain comprehensive knowledge of the retail customer strategic objectives, priorities, shoppers, decision-making process, and KPIs

·      Key influence within cross functional teams to drive engagement with the customer and own all commercial fundamentals (incl. supply chain and in-store execution etc.) that align with customer

·      Create best in class retail partnerships, understanding retail needs and educating the internal Function team on retail  


Brand Sales Fundamentals 

·      Develop and own the sales fundamental strategy for accounts 

·      Facilitate merchandising strategy and requirements for retailers. Partner with key brand stakeholders to ensure executional excellence online and offline 

·      Maintain on going pulse of category and retailer strategies, including competitive knowledge

·      Partner with various cross functional teams; marketing and supply chain to drive integral account initiatives and needs 

·      Assist sales leadership in driving operational excellence and delivery joint business plan goals 

 

Key business KPIs include sell in and sell out targets. 

 

Qualifications:

·      Bachelors Degree in business

·      5+ years experience in beauty/cpg sales, preferably some in Hair category. Combination of startups and corporate preferred.

·      3+ years managing national retail accounts in beauty. Experience with and understanding of Target business is essential. Plus, if experienced across Amazon, ULTA, mass and drug channels. 

·      Well versed in commercial fundamentals across various channels and data analytics to drive business recommendations

·      Managed and owned account P&L. Strong financial acumen.

·      Effective interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple account needs 

·      Ability to identify and drive new processes and structure

·      Skilled with executing within tight timeframes with attention to detail and accuracy 

·      Demonstrated decision-making ability and sense of urgency; ability to deal effectively with the pressure of multiple tasks, deadlines and rapidly changing priorities

·      Strong computer skills, with emphasis in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
