General Worker - Food Service - Remote | WFH

We're seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as a General Worker in the Food Service department. This is a part-time position, with a schedule of 20-25 hours per week, from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

Responsibilities

As a General Worker, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with food preparation, storage, retrieval, and serving
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas
• Serving food on the tray line and in resident dining rooms
• Cleaning and sanitizing dishes, pots, and food service equipment
• Receiving, delivering, and storing food and related supplies
• Removing and disposing of garbage and other waste
  
  

Reasoning Ability

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• The ability to follow written and oral instructions with attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills to address situations involving multiple variables
• Strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills in English
  
  

Physical Demands

• The ability to stand for extended periods during your shift
• Capability to lift, pull, push, reach, and stretch as required
• Ability to walk short distances and lift heavy pots
• Carry small wares, beverages, hot and cold foods
  
  

Work Environment

• Exposure to hot water, wet floors, sanitation agents, and steam
• Working in a crowded environment with close body contact at times
• Small work areas
