The General Sales Manager at Serra Automotive Group is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the sales department at our dealership in Birmingham, Alabama. This individual will be responsible for driving sales, managing the sales team, and ensuring the overall success of the dealership's sales operations. This is a full-time, individual contributor role with a combination of base salary and commission.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve dealership's sales goals
Monitor and analyze sales team performance, provide coaching and training as needed
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service and follow-up
Set and meet monthly and yearly sales targets
Work with marketing department to create and execute sales promotions and campaigns
Manage inventory to maximize sales opportunities and minimize shrinkage
Maintain up-to-date knowledge about products, financing options, and market trends
Oversee the hiring and training of new sales team members
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to sales team
Collaborate with other department managers to improve overall dealership operations
Requirements:
Previous sales experience in the automotive industry preferred
Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales targets
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Knowledge of automotive financing and leasing options
Proficiency in computer systems and software utilized in automotive sales
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
