The General Manager of Product Management role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams including our consulting, engineering, product marketing, sales, and delivery teams to ensure alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product Strategy Development: Define and articulate the product vision and strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Develop and maintain an external product roadmap that outlines the future direction and features of the product portfolio.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product management team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative and high trust team culture.
  • Set clear goals and performance expectations for the team.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch analysis.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products through effective project management and coordination with engineering teams.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimize product features and performance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with consulting, Korn Ferry Institute, engineering, design, marketing, sales, and delivery teams to ensure cohesive product development and launch strategies.
  • Communicate product strategy, progress, and key decisions to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Gather feedback from customers, consultants, sales teams, and other stakeholders to continuously improve products.
  • Financial and Business Acumen: Manage the product budget, including forecasting, allocation, and tracking of resources.
  • Develop pricing strategies and business models to maximize profitability and market penetration.
  • Evaluate and manage product risks and opportunities to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation by staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Continuously look to improve the processes and tools the product management teams engage with to increase product management efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the product management team.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and launching products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in product management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the industry and market trends relevant to the company’s products.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across the organization.
  • Strong customer focus and a passion for creating value through innovative products.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.


Salary Range $210,000.00 - $240,000.00



Salary range represents the compensation Korn Ferry expects to pay to a candidate with the requirements for the job posted. Korn Ferry offers competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with experience.

Employees are eligible to enroll in Korn Ferry's Tax Deferred Savings plan 401(k). Employee Stock Purchase Program is available to all permanent employees who work 20 hours or more after 6 months of service.

Employees are eligible to receive a total of 15 days vacation annually plus paid time off for 16 company holidays. Full time eligible employees will accrue sick time commencing on the first date of employment at the rate of 3.33 hours per pay period for an annualized maximum of 80 hours.
