General Manager, Fulfillment Operations

This onsite leadership role will provide operational oversight, leadership, and management of all Warehousing, Kitting, and Fulfillment Operations of the Marketing Services Division - Highland Park facility. Provides support to Sales, Client Services, Estimating, Quality, and Personnel Management functions within the business. Focus is on operational planning, execution, and continuous improvement to meet company Key Performance Objectives in line with the Qualfon Mission and Values.


Operation Responsibilities:


  • Oversee all Fulfillment and Warehouse operations with an emphasis on efficiency and customer care while being a Mentor, Manager, Messenger
  • Oversee, manage, and direct the Automated Production and/or Assembly and Fulfillment, Manual Assembly and Fulfillment, Receiving, Warehousing, and Inventory Management, and Order Picking, Packing and Shipping departments
  • Operational Quality Management, 6-S, and Lean Six-Sigma Leadership
  • Manages and controls Contractor Staffing and Agency vendor partnerships
  • Responsible to create and present Cost Estimating, Business Proposal, and Sales Support
  • Evaluate existing systems and processes and implement redesigns to improve KPIs and efficiency
  • Establish clear and measurable goals for the production departments; develop applicable metrics and track achievement of goals
  • Lead other groups to address customer-impacting issues, armed with clear, data-driven business cases
  • Follow emerging trends and best practices in customer service to identify continuous improvement and efficiency/productivity opportunities
  • Prepare forecasts of expenditures/costs, tickets, types of issues, escalations, budgets, etc.
  • Manage the appropriate budgets and ensure staffing levels are sufficient for sustained operations
  • Oversee the training and development of current/new hires to provide the level of service that exceed customer expectations
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulations, compliance, and audit reports


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Must have 10 + years of previous success within the Distribution and Fulfillments industry
  • Experience with Order Management & Warehouse Management systems, S4Hana experience preferred
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills and sound decision-making combined with analytical experience is required; ability to analyze program and financial data, identify issues, and implement process improvements
  • Demonstrate business savvy and acumen with ability to develop and maintain long-term success as a business partner in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Proven experience in balancing people-facing concerns with the business imperatives, while making sound recommendations and exercising good judgment
  • Proven ability to develop strong business relationships and navigate complex client environments and work in matrixed organization
  • Proven ability to develop and to execute strategic action plans
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills including strong verbal and written communications skills, presentation skills, facilitation skills, and influence and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to establish a positive working environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities successfully
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership, partnering cross-functionally, and driving change
  • Strong project management, production launch planning, and execution leadership skills
  • Proficient production cost estimating and operating cost management skills
  • Strong personnel management skills and methods, including hiring, training, development, motivational, compensation, disciplinary and termination procedures
  • Must have a strong business management acumen within a production and Fulfillment business with specialty knowledge of WMS, MRP, Scheduling, Resource and Capacity Planning, Bottleneck Management, Packaging, and Operational Performance Analysis
